MPG Sport Campaign

Sportswear brand MPG selects yours truly to act as a Messenger for the Spring/Summer 2014 line.

Well, this was crazy – out of the blue I got a call from Canadian brand MPG (Mondetta Performance Gear) asking if I’d model their sportswear in the Spring/Summer 2014 campaign. The MPG Messengers are “real people” who are both active and are doing something unique – in my case, I’m representing bike commuters. Since I do a web series about riding bikes, and recently sold my car to go carfree in Los Angeles, it seemed a natural fit. Using the bike as my main form of transportation, I need clothes that look good, but are really functional, and MPG makes a great product and I’m super happy to have been included.

We did the photo/video shoot in Seattle, and I learned some quality modeling tips like “clench your jaw” (to get the right element of Blue Steel) and “inhale” (to distract from the effects of my love for donuts). Thanks to MPG Brand Manager Tony Lavilla, and to photographer Marc Von Borstel for the experience, and for letting me use the photos on this site.
